Laser grew up in the rural Michigan farm land in extremely
modest surroundings. Each day, he walked six miles round trip to the one room country school house. Growing up, he dreamed of one day being part of the great American free enterprise system and somehow making it big.

Even earlier on, Laser was extremely industrious. He had a paper route, worked on the farm, started a tree trimming business, sold advertising specialties, then went to work for Uncle Sam in the U.S. Army where he helped preserve Americas greatest asset, our freedom.
He always admired the risk takers and the high spirited oil men in the oil towns he grew up in. Laser recalls, One day I decided to visit a friend of mine who was drilling for oil. It hit, the well blew in, it was exciting. Then and there, he invited me in to join in the oil business where I eventually became Executive Vice President of the company. It was all by accident, yet this is how I got started in this amazing business.
Today, Laser focuses his energies on wildcatting in the untapped state of Wyoming. He was responsible for helping bring in the Sagebrush and Dutton Basin discoveries in 1996 and 1997. It is estimated that over six billion barrels of oil still exist to be found in the Rockies. One new discovery that is successful in Wyoming alone is estimated it will generate over one billion dollars in income. Laser and his team are on target to become a big part of the vast new millennium discoveries.
I enjoy wildcatting as it takes courage and determination to find oil fields. Every field found helps America become less dependent on foreign sources of oil. I enjoy this business because it is always a challenge to find new oil. Also, we get to work within the beauty of nature.
The American Dream means everything to me because that is what I learned as a youth that anyone could make it in America if he or she worked hard. The American Dream in itself is the key to success because that thought itself provides the hope a dream can be reached in a free America.
Giving back is big on Lasers agenda. He is involved in dozens of community and board positions ranging from being on the Board of Governors for Northwood University to being Vice Chairman of the Palm Beach Roundtable. Laser attributes hard work, a willingness to take risks and honesty as being the major attributes to his successful career. His main secret of success is his ability to communicate well with others. There is a spiritual dimension to his accomplishments which he and others call the universal mind which is when we are connected with the right people at the right time to achieve the right results.
Laser encourages all to continue learning and to make time to read the good books first. His favorites include: the Bible, and any of the books by Dr. Norman Vincent Peale or John Templeton.
We salute wildcatter pioneer Charles Laser who continues to explore and build on the vast potential of American energy, both in the untapped oil fields of Wyoming as well as in the hidden potential within the American mind and spirit.
Long live free wildcatters.
