| It is said that ones greatest need in life is to find purpose. Throughout our life we go through a number of different stages - birth, childhood, schooling, first job, career development, marriage, parenting, grandparenting, retirement and at the end, without exception, death. During our lifespan, two very important questions tend to come up - 1.) Who am I? 2.) Why am I here? These questions take time to figure out. For some, it may take a few months, others may take years, and some, it may take the experience of a lifetime to determine ones individual purpose. We need to remember, that we are the only ones that have experienced our own lives. No one else has ever gone through our own unique trials, tribulations and triumphs. Our task of defining our own individual power of purpose must come from within. It is not the definition that our spouse, parents, relatives, business associates and friends have developed for us, but that of our own. * This page is included from the recent book * The American Dreams Collection
